this weekend has been unreal. negative 30s. freaking negative 30s. and it's only december.
if you chart the weather patterns in canada, it usually only hits negative 30s and 40s in late january, early february. someone up there must've done something real bad and made someone real mad because it's negative 30s in december!
funny thing is, the snow is up to my knees here in calgary. the east coast has snow higher than the roofs of houses. and in western canada (i.e. vancouver), they've got a winter storm warning for the 5-12 cm that's coming in overnight. you gotta love the news (:
on a totally different note, did you know that russia and canada is on the same latitude (horizontal line across the globe)? the only state/country higher than calgary is greenland and alaska!
