if i were a constant Facebook status, this very moment would read --- Valerie Anne is happy with the upswing of the week, but down with the food poisoning(?)!

update on my week:
last sunday was the last day of stampede! woohoo! stampede is so over-rated, it's insane if you want to get around the city during the 10 day festive season. Zasuu (i.e. greg) decided to participate in one of the city's many Breakfasts. most events includes booze from the early hours of 7ish-AM. yes, drunk drunk very very drunk people at 8am, and sloshed by 10am, who will at noon, get on a bus to a club to get even more thunder-f-ed. ugh.
i did however catch the last of the stampede fireworks.

so the word is that i went to Canmore (this lovely little town 1hr out of Calgary, and somewhere in the Rockies) this morning. i got up at 6am, to get to work by 7am, to get to Canmore by 9am. it's not too bad a drive, and Tanya did the drive up half groggy. and i drove the way back stuffed from lunch's mini burgers (which sounds totally unappetising but really is the best thing i've had in months!), crab and artichoke dip with toast, and eggrolls chipolte.
somewhere between lunch and having 2 meetings with potential buyers and marketing co. Start Marketing, AND finally getting in back into the office at 4.30PM, i got a bug of some sort. tanya's feeling nauseous and has a high fever. and i feel like someone hit me with a semi-truck going at 120km/h.
tanya and i have concluded that we must've eaten something wrong - and it's true. we shared the crab and artichoke dip :(
oh here are some sights from Canmore
it's an irish wolfhound, and it's bigger than a 8-year old girl.
this is Canmore's nordic ski olympic training area. we got to meet with lots of Canadian olympians during this trip. everyone lives within 5 minutes of this area. imagine waking to this sight every day (: you'd never want to live in the city again.
