i feel christmas is in the air.
people/strangers are so helpful. and happy. and giving.
what a time it is to celebrate it in the real snow of alberta, canada.
i got stuck in the snow banks one too many times today. and people off the streets would walk up and say, "need a push?" grandparents get out of their cars and offer advice. girls in their big-ass SUVs pull over and hop out in their furry jackets and say hello. my neighbours a few doors down (who i swear are the most lovely gay men you'll ever meet) come out shovels in hand ever ready to lend a hand. "are you stuck again?" hahaa.
my friends are telling me that the car is too light-weight and low-riding. well, the hood and wing are made out of carbon fiber, and i am barely 125pounds. my close-to-300-pound friend sat in the car to help get my car out of the parallel parking spot, and it moved like a samurai sword slicing a pie. i think it'll be a good call to get sandbags from home depot and toss 'em into my boot (or trunk as they call it here). i hear they're doubly useful when the road gets too icy - "take 'em out, toss the sand on the ground and off you go!" says pearl.
i love driving. i hate driving in the snow.
"don't get frustrated. it is your 2nd day winter-driving; you'll get used to it."
ARHHHHG. don't you wonder why we spell a-r-g-h as a-r-g-h, when it is actually pronounce as a-r-h-g. we do end the word off with a 'G'-sound. try it.
