this song. is driving me crazy. because it's all i'm hearing right now. and worse, it's in my head.
t-minus 14 hours till my sociology midterm. and the question on everyone's mind, "am i ready?"
i've been floating about since the beginning of this semester. could it be a transient period? or perhaps just a moment of forgetfulness? talking about forgetfulness, i should be awarded The Most Forgetful Person on the Planet. for real. i've misplaced a dozen things since semester started, and it's gotten worse over the 4 weeks of school. it's called forgetful-nitis.
i'm feeling things are going to turn around now.
jo called me to tell me that my uncle in BC was contacted by a stranger who lives on my street. the neighbour found my phone outside my house, lost in a heap of fall's fallen leaves. apparently his son convinced him to find the owner of the phone because his son noticed that i had contacts from "around the world" and that this was obviously my life-line. God bless his son and him really, because now that i have a phone - i feel whole.
wait. before i continue, let me just tell you that i know of 4 people in Calgary, who are 20 years old now, who have NEVER EVER OWNED A PHONE IN THEIR ENTIRE LIFE. yes, it is true, people can live life Without a phone attached to their ear! who knew!
my appreciativeness for my phone and life, strangely paired, and in sync with each other, has enabled me to sit down and actually start reading my text book. wish me luck, here comes 4-5 chapters of readings! this time, i'm hoping to get some shut eye before class at 8am.
