it's day two of being 'single and not looking', and i'm doing alright. john and i are talking, and we're working towards being cool. love isn't enough.
this entire week's been insanely busy! i volunteered as an orientation leader for this incoming freshmen/future alumni of 2012, and it's been terribly awarding. i would recommend everyone to try becoming an OL at least once in their life. though it does get trying to be constantly cheerful and smiley, getting the thanks from the students is all worth it.
i had this one guy, on day 1 of 4 of orientation, introduce me to his friends as the coolest OL and girl on campus. apparently i was the first interaction on the UofC campus, which he says was great cos it's got him looking forward to uni-life. best form of flattery hands-down. (:
if haven't emphasised it enough in the previous posts, i'm super duper excited about this coming semester! (: (: (: i've signed myself up for 3 awesome classes, been nominated as New Member Coordinator for AGD, and I have a solid schedule which includes 3 days of work AND i have my weekends off! this semester, i'm taking Stats, Linguistics (Phonology) and Sociology (Ethnic Relations). woohoo. though it may mean that i may not finish my degree by 2011, it does mean that i will be able to earn some bucks and get that car and do all those things i've always wanted to do like travel to SG, NYC and Mexico.
