Q: who's to say your life ain't as full as mine?

temptation is hard to resist, and i cannot deny that sometimes (just sometimes) all i want to do is let go. stop fighting the good fight. what's the worst that could happen right? life is shit, and we complain because we have mouths.

then i recall the saying, 'we have 2 ears, 1 mouth. use in ratio.'

today, someone said to me: 'thanks for ALWAYS being here on a whim. it'll be an honour for me if i do get to do the same for you.'
and i remember why i want to be friends with people - you know someone at 2a.m. will come down for you just because you called. you know, then, that you're worth more than a $14 cab fare, with midnight surcharge.

i strongly believe that what makes our life different from the person standing next to you are the friends you have. friends, they make all the difference in how you view life. the times you share could be sweeter, harder, easier, painful or simple and so on and so on. it all boils down to who your friends are.

still, there are those moments when it doesn't matter who your friends are. that's because life turns out to be the shit you expected it to be. no surprise there. you expected it. no one told you it was gonna be this way - you. knew. it. all. along. and. you. were. the. dumbshit. not. to. have. pulled. out. sooner. so there.

you've heard stories about how some of us flip the coin and end up on the other side of the track (the evil side, or so they call it). we club, we drink, we smoke, we ink ourselves in the name of art, pierce ourselves in some unimaginable areas, we listen to heavy metal, sleep around and then we lie about it. we want to be termed 'bad' so that we can say, "i've lived a fuller life than you. i've learnt more things than you could possibly imagine."

A: i didn't say such a thing (: i only think that i am able (BECAUSE of my experiences) to think more critically than you and don't give the half-ass dictionary version of the word 'bad'. now does that make me a 'bad' person? no. i can choose to be a better person. i have a choice. so there.
